With the state's primary finally be set on May 29, I can only wonder what new problems could befall beleaguered Harris County District Attorney Pat Lykos.
You see that's nearly three months for the remaining wheels to fall off the cart. Or for the mule to break its leg. Or for the axle to snap.
Or for another grand jury to investigate the office. It's certainly enough time for an indictment. Another trip to 1201 Franklin by the Texas Rangers? A disgruntled former employee going to the press with damning information? Ms. Lykos could tempt fate by holding another press conference.
